The refurbishment of a former cake factory to provide 60,000 sq ft of offices, meeting rooms, café and IT comms rooms for Immediate Media which provide media and publishing operations for BBC Magazines.
The existing trusion beams on each floor were threaded with new exposed M&E Services to give the building an industrial feel. The ground and basement were transformed to provide communal meeting spaces and a café for the 600 staff. All floors are air-conditioned by VRF air source heat pump systems with fresh air ventilation provided by heat recovery air handling units. Electrical services include high-efficiency lighting, power, data and a fire alarm system.
