We are delighted to welcome our new Junior CAD Technician, Alex Akturk-Griffiths, to the RHB family. Alex met members of the RHB team at a job convention and subsequently joined us for some work experience. He was offered the Junior CAD Technician role upon completing his Level 3 BTEC at Queen Mary College.
Why did you join RHB?
The team was friendly and welcoming when I did the work experience, and I enjoyed learning more about the industry. I was thrilled when they offered me the role of Junior CAD Technician, as RHB is a great place to start my career.
What do you like most about your current role?
It is very satisfying when we finish a big project because I can see how much work you have done to contribute to it.
Why do you love working at RHB?
Although we work hard, the environment is relaxed, and the CAD Team is great. We always have a bit of banter and do things like Bagel Thursday, where we have bagels and Nutella at 3pm!
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
Skateboarding, biking, cooking (and eating!) and my clothing style.
What will you do if you win £50k?
I should use it as a deposit for a house, but it would be lots more fun to use it to build a skateduring mypark in our garden, buy an old Japanese car to fix up and learn to snowboard.
What is on your bucket list?
Buy a camper van and travel around the world, visiting all the fantastic skateparks like Venice Beach California, Hirschgarten in Munich, and the Kotoku Yumenoshima in Tokyo.
