This project is a new music suite extension provided on the existing chapel building at Farnborough Hill school. The building provides new music practice rooms, music classrooms, offices, recording studio and choir room to allow the extension of the schools music curriculum.
The building is provided with a system of underfloor heating and cooling, utilising heat pump systems and zoned controls being provided to each area to allow modulation of local temperatures to suit each room's occupancy. The lighting has been designed to provide ambient, airy feel to the building whilst meeting the architectural requirements and providing the lighting levels and uniformity as required by the DFCSF – Lighting Systems in Schools guidance document.
