This project included the demolition of an existing office building (Beaufort Park, which RHB had designed several years ago) and the redevelopment of the site for up to 68 dwellings with associated parking, landscaping, highway improvements and ancillary roads accessed from South Road.
The development by Taylor Wimpey delivers a vibrant and sustainable new community nestled within the existing wooded and open landscape. The range of building heights will create a rich and visually varied development form. and contains an apartment building at the entrance to the scheme which provides a strong focal building and sense of arrival.
RHB have provided the MEP services within this apartment block at the entrance of the scheme which provides a strong focal building and sense of arrival. The block contains 18 apartments accessed via 2 cores. The scheme required lighting and power layouts, electrical, telecom, gas & water distribution with the upper floors being boosted water, external lighting, dry risers, IRS system, access control, smoke ventilation, lift services and a PV array on the roof. The scheme is currently under construction and completion is in 2023.
